Two days ago I had to run into the post office on Glengala road before closing time, but there wasn’t a park to be found. However, off a back road, a solution presented itself. This solution.
(That’s our little red Micra)
TECHNICALLY these parks are only for employees of Agios Antonis Greek Orthodox Church.
But I figured that as a fully dunked member of the church surely one of the perks of the faith has to be the odd lifesaving peak-hour park.
I mean I’ve been christened, and triple vaccinated. I’m safe from both a physical and a spiritual point of view.
Since then I’ve been subject to the most terrible misfortune. Every drop of water I drink goes down backwards, last night it started raining frogs, and now we can’t move for locusts.
So knoweth thee that the lord is vengeful. Sin is sin, and a cheeky Jesus park may as well be will-willed patricide, so far do both stray from the well of goodness at the heart of us.
PS - I did not reach the post office in time, and the release of the hostages is now at the discretion of some less than savoury individuals.
